Abstract :
Network emulation is a cost-effective method to investigate ASON networks and their protocol software. Various network topologies and scenarios can be analyzed regarding timing, stability and proper functionality. The ASON emulator presented in this paper supports currently the routing protocol OSPF and the signaling protocol CR-LDP. The modular architecture allows an easy integration of other protocol stacks like RSV-PTE.
