Abstract :
Remote education is a new education mode which can train people all over the world by providing teaching videos. This paper presents an efficient error concealment algorithm for H.264, which we use in the decoder of the video player to improve teaching video quality. In the proposed algorithm, first considering the character of teaching video, estimate the error macro block (MB) belongs to foreground or background; if the error MB belongs to background, we replace the error MB by copying the MB in the reference frame, else, we introduce Lagrange algorithm and decoder motion-vector estimation algorithm (DMVE) to estimate the optimal motion vector (MV), and replace the error MB with which has the optimal MV. Results demonstrate that proposed algorithm provides better performance than the conventional algorithm, which improves teaching video quality.
