Abstract :
In remote collaborative work via WAN, the sharing of various contents and video streaming between remote places and its display by the large-scale screen is effective. However, wide-area display using a projector and large-sized display system is low-resolution, and sufficient presence is not obtained. In this paper, we have constructed Tele-immersive environment with Tiled displays wall to realize remote collaborative works with real video streaming and visualization contents by high-resolution. In addition, we have performed some experiments on tele-immersive communication on JGN2plus network. We have implemented an application to display high-resolution real video streaming on Tiled displays wall in remote place. By using the application, we have showed to display the clear video image of remote place over a wide range. Moreover, we have tried realistic display processing of high-resolution astronomical observation image and movie data, and it have enabled to observe the entire image of observation data all over Tiled displays wall.
