Abstract :
Pulse-taking is a characteristic technique of diagnosis in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and plays a very important role in TCM clinical practice. The diversity of pulse condition can reflect the change of organs and entrails as well as QI-blood and body fluid in human body. It is one important index of health monitoring. In this paper, we expound the formation of biometric characteristic of pulse condition, some important constituents of biometric characteristic of pulse condition, extraction and identification in pulse condition and its standardization. We propose biometric characteristic in pulse condition is inherited, individual; the characteristic establishment of the primary standard of pulse condition bases plays a very important role in TCM treatment based on syndrome differentiation, health monitoring, evaluation on curative effect. Extraction in pulse condition should be developed with age, pulse training instrument with good repeatability and stability should be manufactured and developed, the establishment of health development monitoring system based on pulse condition and pulse training instrument will be benefit to disease treatment and prevention.
