  • Abstract
    The author applies the work of the Fourth and Fifth Mass Storage Systems Specialists Workshops to the bitfile server concept in the IEEE reference model for Mass Storage Systems version 2.0. After a discussion of requirements, an expanded description of a proposed bitfile server interface is explored in detail. A description is also given of the current interface abstraction for the bitfile server.<>
