  • Abstract
    We propose a novel network framework to support QoS in mobile ad hoc networks. The framework adopts a cross-layer mechanism including two aspects. 1) Virtual multi-queue of MAC layer can be schedules and managed according to the priority and routing hop numbers of high layer packets. 2) The network layer avoids routing breakage according to link lifetime and queue load information of neighbor nodes gathered by the MAC layer. The simulation results show that the network framework can reduce high priority packet delay and improve the network performance
