Abstract
The authors have investigated the effect of module performance parameters and environmental factors on the energy delivery of amorphous-silicon multijunction modules. They have developed a model that calculates the energy delivered by a module using available meteorological data and measured performance parameters. These performance parameters have been derived from multijunction modules under controlled conditions as well as through the reduction of data from arrays. They show how variations in these parameters affect the energy delivered at a given array site. They also show that the energy delivered by these amorphous-silicon multijunction modules is well predicted by efficiency measurements under standard reporting conditions
