Abstract :
This paper proposes a dual-band bow-tie slot antenna design for WiFi and WiMAX system applications. The designed antenna utilizes the coplanar waveguide (CPW) feeding with the inductive coupling. The twin bow-tie slots with special feeding slot arrangements make the dual resonant response with the almost independent tuning mechanism for the individual band. Measured results include the operation frequencies in 2.393 GHz ~ 2.565 GHz and 3.353 GHz ~ 3.788 GHz with the gains of 2.11 dBi and 5.59 dBi for low-band and high-band respectively, meeting the WiFi and WiMAX system requirements.
