Abstract :
Redundant system-slot CompactPCI HA ( High Availability) platform provides a high bandwidth and 99.999% availability. It supports redundancy and hot-swap of all the boards including the main CPU module. Failed board can be separated and the standby one can be connected automatically. Boards can be inserted and extracted without downing the system. This paper makes a brief introduction to the core-control techniques of the platform. It includes the below: PCI interface and PCI bridge, hot Swap, redundant CPU swap and bus control switching, fairness bus arbitration.
