Abstract :
A low-profile TEM-mode silver-coated /spl lambda//4 high dielectric (/spl epsi//sub r/=93) planar waveguide resonator having a dimensions of 4.25/spl times/3/spl times/1 (mm) with unloaded quality factor of /spl cong/240 have been devised at the resonant frequency of 2 GHz. Two types (with and without attenuation poles at the both sides of the pass band) of low-profile and high performance 2-pole BPFs are designed and fabricated using two such physical resonators, each of which have dimensions of /spl cong/9/spl times/3/spl times/1 (mm). A precise design procedure is also described.
