  • Abstract
    In this paper, we have proposed novel moment generating function (MGF) for α - μ distribution. The proposed moment generating function is modification over moment generating function proposed by [3], which is only applicable for non-integer values of α. Next, we have presented the closed form expression for bit error rate/symbol error rate considering various modulation techniques over α - μ fading channel. The results have been presented in form of the various higher transcendental functions which are available in most of software packages like MATHEMATICA and MAPLE. Moreover, as per our best knowledge no such exact closed form expression has been proposed in the literature.
