  • Abstract
The necessity for diagnosing induction motor eccentricity faults along with the advantages and wide interest on the application of Direct Torque Control (DTC) method justify studying the influence of DTC strategy on the eccentricity fault indices. However, an analytic study approach is difficult in this topic due to non-linear nature of DTC method. Therefore, a mixed experimental/simulation approach is taken in this paper. The study indicates that the proposed control strategy, depending on its adjusted parameters, may affect the indices significantly, hence, a revision to the fault diagnosis systems is required in DTC drive-connected induction motors.
