Abstract :
FarmWeb is an experimental farm automation system. Its purpose is to serve as a platform for research into advanced optimization and control techniques for agricultural processes. It provides control applications with a single user interface, diverse run-time support services, and hardware abstraction. These features enable FarmWeb control applications to be reusable in different automation projects, thereby eliminating or substantially reducing software development as a major cost in farm automation projects
