Abstract
A main building block of the trigger and data acquisition in the PANDA experiment at FAIR will be FPGA based Compute Nodes in the ATCA (Advanced Telecom Computing Architecture) standard. As ATCA takes advantage of the Intelligent Platform Management Interface (IPMI) the existence of a dedicated controller on each of the boards is necessary. A custom implementation of such a controller, a micro-controller utilizing add-on card is presented.
