Automated Support for Collaborative Estimation

Estimation is a decision making activity that can influence the success or failure of a project. Due to the complexity and the high number of variables involved, it is very important to provide automated support for project managers perform this task. Moreover, it is recommended that it is performed by experienced people, and that the project manager works collaboratively with other people that can contribute to an improvement of the estimates, such as developers and other project managers. This paper presents EstimaODE a CASE tool that supports collaborative estimation.
