Abstract :
Searching the web for information is a part of people´s daily routine. Various search engines like Google, Bing, Yahoo, etc are used to seek information about a topic. There are large numbers of people who actually filter the results by selecting the most proficient result with respect to their query. Moreover, for many scenarios a user who has queried a search engine would have reached a more accurate solution for the particular query. Due to the large number of people using the search engine, there is a huge scope for ¿social collaboration¿ among the users to share their knowledge and ken. Most search engines today do not count on this ¿social¿ factor. In this paper, an interface between end user and the search engine has been proposed. This paper proposes ways to improve the accuracy of search engines for a particular ¿search string¿ which has been used before by other users. The functions of the interface, its advantages and the ways to implement are also explained in this paper. The paper suggests an interface which queries a database that stores results of prior searches and answers for a search string, improving the accuracy of the results.
