Abstract
Service process management as a solution to effectively manage publication, discovery, negotiation, deployment, and implementation of services is increasingly important in SOA using Web services. Although SLA has played a crucial role in service management with the services evolving to the direction of diversification, personality, and QoS assurance, there are still many challenges that need to be investigated to develop the SLA-based service process management approach for SOA. In this paper, a SLA-based service process management approach for SOA is introduced. An extended architecture with additional roles and information of SOA based on SLA is provided. Furthermore, a service process management architecture is introduced based on a "flow-through" vertical analytic method, and then the implementation of closed-loop service management process with feedback mechanism using prepared and customized services based on "full-lifecycle" horizontal analytic method is discussed. Finally, a prototype is designed and realized to validate the proposed integrated approach of service process management
