Abstract :
We consider the transmitter optimization for broadcast ISI channels. We assume the independent decoding and we obtain explicitly the mutual information for broadcast channels with or without multiple transmit and receive antennas. We optimize the input autocorrelation matrices such that the sum of throughput is maximized. We propose an iterative algorithm to solve the optimization problem. Simulation results show that a dramatic capacity gain is achievable by the transmitter optimization. The total capacity can be further improved by employing multiple antennas at both the transmitter and the receivers.
