Abstract
Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) is a promising scheme for broadband wireless communications. The combination of joint transmit-receive (Tx-Rx) beamforming with OFDM promises an enhanced performance. Two kinds of adaptive power allocation schemes are proposed for OFDM systems with joint Tx-Rx beamforming. The optimal power allocation schemes are based on the criterions of maximizing signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and maximizing average throughput, respectively. Simplified schemes with complexity reduction are also presented. The performance potentials of the proposed schemes are demonstrated by simulation results
