Abstract :
Based on nonparametric statistics, we propose robust variational filters for image denoising. The approach is a result of optimizing smooth statistical influence functionals subject to some noise constraints. Substantiating numerical examples are provided to demonstrate the potential and the good performance of the proposed algorithms in environmental image filtering.
