Abstract :
The pump-controlled folding machine is a coupled system and has significant structural interaction. This paper proposes a coupled adaptive self-organizing sliding-mode fuzzy controller in order to improve its level control performance. If the structure interaction is treated as the disturbance the system can be simplified as a decoupled control system. Both coupled and decoupled fuzzy controllers are comparatively implemented. Experimented results indicate that the proposed coupled fuzzy controller can attain excellent control performance in symmetrical and variety unsymmetrical loadings.
