Abstract :
This paper presents a novel beamformlng approach for Interference mitigation in Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) receivers. The proposed algorithm is based on a recently developed beamformer but adapted to GNSS particularities, mainly the extremely low power of the received signal (well below the noise floor) and the interest only in the line-of-sight component, as opposite to communication systems where multi-path can be exploited to increase the signal-to-noise ratio. This new beamformer only requires estimations of the noise power and the power and spatial signature of the signal of interest. Computer simulations show a good performance of the proposed beamformer when compared to classical approaches, even to those that require accurate estimations of the synchronization parameters.
