Abstract :
A method using integration scheme to combine arbitrary two-port linear lumped networks into FDTD in a single grid cell is proposed. This method has two advantages. Firstly, arbitrary lumped networks can be incorporated into a single grid cell and the numerical accuracy is improved. Secondly, this method does not need to solve for the circuit node voltages and mesh currents in the lumped network recursively at each time step repeatedly. The proposed method can serve to bridge the gap between field-based and circuit-based simulators.
