Abstract :
A robust technique is developed for array response estimation and array combining in the presence of impulsive noise. These techniques are nonlinear in nature and are based on the M-estimation method. It is seen that the proposed robust method offers substantial performance gain over linear techniques in non-Gaussian noise, with little attendant increase in computational complexity. Extension of the proposed technique to dispersive channels with intersymbol interference is also addressed
