Abstract :
This paper describes compression software that uses different algorithms for compressing data as well as image. The data compression is done by using adaptive Huffman technique, which compresses the data as well as send it to another person in the network in a single pass. The image compression is done by fractal encoding using evolutionary genetic approach. Preprocessing like partitioning, identification of largest solid black rectangle and noise removal is done to improve the performance. We have actually implemented this idea.
