Abstract :
The paper aims to investigate the optimum locations for ultra wideband (UWB) nodes placement on the body. The performance of UWB radio propagation links is experimentally investigated by considering communications between body-worn base units and off-body access points. Radio channel parameters are derived and analysed for different sectors of the human body. System-level modelling, based on signal to noise ratio (SNR) and bit error rate (BER) is analytically performed on the basis of multi band orthogonal frequency division multiplexed (OFDM) system.
