Abstract :
A novel chip PIFA with two shielding side wall to be EM compatible with metallic I/O connectors has been proposed and studied. The proposed antenna has a 3-dimensional configuration and can be easily fabricated with a low cost. With the EM compatible property, the proposed antenna is suitable to be applied in the mobile device with various possible system ground-plane lengths to easily cover the Bluetooth band. Good radiation characteristics of the proposed antenna also been obtained.
