  • Abstract
It´s not efficient to establish similar connections using a call having a single connection in an ASON (automatic switched optical network). We extend this call to support the setup and rerouting of multiple connections in one call session. Therefore MCPAC (multiple connections per a call) are proposed based on DCM (distributed call and connection management) and realized by using RSVP-TE. To support MCPAC, RSVP-TE message and function of component and procedure of signalling perform are extended. These extensions are presented and specified. We analyze the establish time of connection and signalling network traffic with RSVP-TE protocol. Simulation and analysis result shows that the total time to create multiple connections using such call and network traffic is less than using the traditional call multiple times.
