Abstract :
The past research in weighting analysis, the continuous type of entropy is discussed frequently. However, in a practical system, the entropy are all discrete, if we use the continuous type of entropy to solve our problems, although problems were solved, there still exists some vagueness in our minds. Therefore, in this paper we attempt to remove the vagueness. Based on the definition of entropy we derive the discrete type of entropy, called the grey entropy. After the grey entropy is derived, we also give an example to compare the traditional entropy with the grey entropy. As a result, we show that the grey entropy is one of the suitable methods in weighting analysis
