Abstract :
An online UHF PD monitoring system for power transformers has been designed and installed in a 120MVA/220kV power transformer in-service in Henan province of China. The hardware and software of the system are described in detail in this paper. The onsite results show that the online monitoring system has superior performance compared to conventional PD detection system.
