Abstract :
Today, life safety is a big issue while driving on a road as day by day the number of vehicles on road is increasing tremendously in big cities. This scenario demands todaypsilas vehicles must have automatic control rather than manual in contingency. The prototype described in this paper with some modifications will be helpful to reduce the number of road accidents if implemented in real life applications. This prototype is designed to detect front vehicles or stationary objects within a specific range and to reduce the speed of the vehicle relatively. The prototype has been implemented and verified on XC9572 CPLD with some economical additional hardware resources.
