Abstract :
We theoretically investigated the relationship between coupling efficiency and design parameters of cylindrically lensed fiber. The analysis shows that the vertical alignment tolerance, requiring the tightest control during pigtailing, can be relaxed while maintaining within 99% of the maximum coupling.
