Abstract :
A bond graph framework is used to develop new computational tools for the quantitative analysis of a class of hybrid systems. A single a causal bond graph is associated with the overall system, whereas each mode, in part, is characterized by a unique causal bond graph, allowing the description of the dynamics in terms of a continuous semigroup of linear operators. Thus, for any state space trajectory a closed-form expression can be derived as a composite map reflecting the sequence of the operating modes. This expression also offers noticeable facilities for a direct approach to the steady-state dynamics
