Abstract :
A new coplanar electromagnetic bandgap (EBG) structure is proposed where one plate of a parallel plate waveguide (PPW) is patterned with an array of patches interconnected by coupled transmission lines. This low cost structure is well suited for low to medium current power planes where microwave noise suppression is desired.
