Abstract :
The author outlines the Canadian Mobile Satellite program and the associated service offerings, and provides some detailed examples of potential end-user applications related to vehicle navigation and information systems. Particular attention is given to such end-user applications as aircraft flight tracking, truck fleet management, marine fleet management, and railcar fleet management. An outline of the expected end-user benefits of these services is given.<>
