Abstract :
In this paper, we present a novel PBG pattern to achieve a stopband bandwidth from 2.2GHz to 8.8GHz. The unit cell in the UC-PBG is hexagonal to increase the distributed inductance L and C. It was verified by simulation and measurement that the proposed PBG structure has wider stopband bandwidth than the conventional UC-PBG.
