Abstract :
In magnetic bearing driver, linear power amplifier and PWM power amplifiers are widely used. The two type power amplifiers have different merits and faults. In order to exploit the particular advantage of each power amplifier, a novel hybrid type power amplifier is proposed in this paper. The structure of the hybrid type power amplifier is proposed. The main circuit and the control system of the hybrid power amplifier are also present. The simulations for the hybrid power amplifier have been done to exhibit the advantages and the characteristics been illustrated in the paper. The theoretical and simulation analysis shows that the hybrid type power amplifier proposed is feasible.
