Abstract :
Two cylindrical insertion-segments with straight electron-paths have been inserted between two 180deg arcs of a modified toroidal/helical orbit, where the electron-paths of the insertion-segments have zero curvature and torsion. The insertion-segments may then be used as the locations of any insertion-devices (such as a beam injection-channel, a beam extraction-channel, a MW power-extraction structure, a re-acceleration structure, or a beam deflector).
