Abstract :
In this paper, the same techniques employed for the bandwidth enhancement of the slot-coupled vertical transitions are applied to the cavity-coupled vertical transitions. The vertical transitions with rectangular, bowtie, H-shaped, and cross-rectangular coupling slots are under investigation. The bandwidth of each cavity-coupled vertical transition is compared with that of its corresponding slot-coupled vertical transition to demonstrate their superior performance in the transmission bandwidth of the vertical transitions.
