Abstract :
When the inputs are blurred with noises, the LMSTDE actually gives the biased estimate. In this paper, we propose a new method of time delay estimation to accurately estimate the time delay in the presence of additive noise. By analyzing the cost function of the LMS algorithm, we construct a new cost function through which an optimal unbiased estimate of the time delay can be obtained. According to the results of the simulation, the method is proved to be of good performance and be available in the engineering applications
