  • Abstract
Providing Quality of Service in the Ad hoc networks is one of the topics that have received a lot of attention recently. The most common QoS solution presented in the literature is the reservation method. It consists of making resources reservation for the flows which have QoS requirements. In this paper, we propose a novel reservation approach for the TDMA-based Ad hoc networks. Our proposal is based on decreasing the bandwidth consumption by omitting the control phase from the habitual TDMA (Time Division Multiple Access) frame structure. Furthermore, our reservation approach deals with the mobility issue by differentiating the reservations in the two-hop neighboring. We have compared our approach to the existing reservation protocols and the results have demonstrated that our method can reduce the end-to-end delay as well as the amount of control messages.
