Abstract :
This paper uses the design used at UMass as a base design for the compact feed due to its attractive electrical characteristics. The feed consists of a meniscus- lens-corrected corrugated horn loaded with a tapered dielectric rod. The design presented in this paper modifies the base design to provide increased bandwidth while significantly reducing feed length.
