Abstract
In this paper, a UWB antenna with frequency band notch characteristic using CSRR particles is presented. A novel method is introduced to obtain a good match between the CSRR and transmission line. Using CSRR in UWB applications is a viable alternative to existing designs for frequency notch. There is an advantage of utilising the negative-epsiv associated with the CSRR without compromising the performance and size of the architecture.
