Abstract
Land use is a kind of important form that affects environment, especially in big city. If land use is not appropriate, and that result will destroy ecological environment, lead to land resource wasting, and will cause socio-economic problems. So, information acquiring of urban land use is one of the key issues of city planning. That is to say, how to monitor, manage and treat information on land use are all important for our zoning commission. As we all known, the precision and efficiency of traditional methods based on spectral feature is not high. One reason is that precision of the photos is low, so high quality results is not possible to acquire; the other reason is that the methods used by us are not high efficient, so we can not acquire satisfying results. In this paper, an unacquainted and small area named WuQi County (in Shaanxi Province) is as an example. Based on surveying the areas, a lot of RS images of these areas are get together. According to the spectral and spatial properties of information on urban land-use in the town and related knowledge, some new methods and technologies are used to RS images and urban land-use extraction with the support of manual work. Idiographic process consists of several parts.
