Abstract :
This research paper aims to examine the conflict between the utilization of the technology in developing an online database system to keep an electronic health record of patients´ and the need to protect an individual´s personal data. A pretested questionnaire was used for data collection. A total of 301 individuals participated in this study from all walks of life and various professions, including medical practitioners, nurses, technical experts, patients and academics. The majority of the local population is in favor of the plan, many ask for more information and a lot of parameters must be studied before the initiation of the plan to avoid conflict with various groups of people opposing the plan mainly due to lack of information on its details.
