Abstract
A characterization of the arrowhead curve monopole as a broadband antenna for use in electric field emissions is presented. This method extends the bandwidth of monopole devices. A potential application is the emissions evaluation of electronics units. Band edge nulls maybe adjusted to required bandwidths. Performance comparisons with a commercially available broadband log-periodic antenna demonstrate similar gain.
