“Artistic” indoor antenna for digital terrestrial TV reception

A prototype of a "Piece of Art" antenna, derived from an original sculpture has been designed for the reception of free to air digital TV programs. The obtained prototype realised with the collaboration of the artist is very close to the original multiplied by a scale factor of 0.5. The measured return loss of the obtained antenna is similar to commercially available high end antennas. The second antenna derived from the original sculpture shown in Figure 1-b have also been realised using the same approach and is presented in Figure 7. Both artistic antennas have been successfully tested for the reception of digital terrestrial TV in our laboratory.
