Abstract :
We propose a cooperative orthogonal space-time block codes (OSTBC) transmission scheme in the adaptive-gain amplify-and-forward MIMO relaying with NS source antennas, NR relay antennas, and ND destination antennas, and analyze the asymptotic performance of the proposed scheme. Specifically, we explore the instantaneous channel state information (CSI) of source-to-relay channel and design an OSTBC transmission scheme by reconstructing the compound source-relay-destination channel. The asymptotic analysis in terms of symbol error rate (SER) in high SNR regime shows that the proposed scheme can achieve the diversity order NSND+NR min{NS, ND}. Numerical results that confirm our analysis are also presented in the paper.
