Abstract :
In this paper, the electrical pulse generated before collation of two flying missiles at an altitude of about 80 km is studied. The application of this result is mainly on the prediction of the impact of generated EM pulse to the missiles´ electronic and communication systems during the collision of the two missiles. Multiple images of the charges are used to simulate the charge distribution on the missiles. The formulation is verified using simple spherical charges. The simulated results show that an EM pulse will be generated at the time of impact. The pulse width of the EM pulses is in the range of 5-10 ms. The pulse spectrum extends to about 1 MHz. Above 1 MHz, the spectrum of the EM pulse is very weak.
