Abstract :
The reliability of transmission lines is closely related to the reliable operation of power grids. In this paper a subsection model based on the reliability theory is put forward to calculate the reliability of transmission lines. The whole line is divided into many section to calculate their reliability then that of the line. In the model, how to deal with the synthetical result of each kind of failure in each section, the failures that have relationship each other, many insulator strings and many times of bad weather, are studied respectively. And aimed to pollution flashover failure, based on many research results and the force-intensity interference theory, the failure probability calculation method is put forward considering to not only the soluble deposit density but also the non-soluble deposit density. Aimed to ice flashover failure, the failure probability calculation method is brought out by contrasting with that of pollution flashover failure. As a result, the reliability of transmission lines can be evaluated more accurately.
